Sacred Path Cards and Book Set by Jamie Sams

$ 25.00

I was happy to see that the Sacred Path Cards are now available and in print again. I ordered some from Amazon to share here. It is uncanny in how well the cards speak to life's questions and inform us from the perspective of Native American traditions.

Once Mali and Gregory Klein were newlyweds, he a Vietnam vet, a Marine, then a Buddhist monk, then married man. They learned about Essiac as a result of his brain cancer diagnosis, arriving long after the war injury that started it. In their time together they crafted a way of living that wove Buddhist practice together with the indigenous wisdom from Native America. They studied the Sacred Path Cards together in developing a worldview based on living life in balance and loving-kindness and in connection with the natural world and all its beings.

The Sacred Path Cards, the Discovery of Self Through Native Teachings (Jamie Sams, 1990, 325 pages + 44 cards) and Howard Hansen's Twilight on the Thunderbird (2013, 279 pages) inspired Mali Klein's writing of Black Root Medicine, the Original Native American Essiac Formula (2014, 54 pages). The names of our Essiac variations East Shield Tea and South Shield Tea are from writings in this book and card set.

Here is the card I drew for us all as we head for 2017:  "...opportunities to discover the Self and for expansive growth are now possible. You are never as limited as you believe you are. The resources of the true Self are filled with potential. Conquering limitation created in the mind will allow you to discover these new abilities and know that all goals are possible.  Remember that the decision to attack your fears is the beginning of the Sacred Path."
