20g of the dried herbs makes two quarts of the decoction, enough tea for one person taking 2 fl. oz. per day and taking one day per week off, for over 5 weeks. Our 3-quart kettle is just the right size for making this amount.

Essiac Extra is the same formula as our regular Essiac but the Sheep sorrel portion contains more roots (and correspondingly fewer aerial parts) than the regular strength.

Busy in the garden right now!!  April 9, 2026 update: we have begun to dig our spring Sheep sorrel root at the garden!  All of our sorrel beds are looking great and over the next few months we hope to get a big enough harvest to ensure we don't run out of stock till the next harvest next fall! The good news is that the 20g size is now back in stock!   June 21, 2026 update: Our spring harvest of Sheep sorrel root is well underway, as the first day of Summer arrives! We are very busy and appreciate your continuing to refrain from ordering more than three packets at a time until our harvest can better meet demand.  

The boiling time for Essiac Extra decoction is lengthened slightly. Other than that the entire preparation process is the same as with regular-strength Essiac. The recommended dosage is the same, 1-2 fl. oz. (30-60ml) per day. It has a great smooth feel to it and is a little darker than regular Essiac. It tastes awesome!
