The Blue Moon Deluxe Essiac Tea-making Kit

$ 150.00

Rene Caisse and Mary McPherson used to make up two gallons of Essiac decoction at a time in a big old enamel kettle.

In today's world, simplicity is a good goal. Making Essiac a bottle or two at a time is handy and involves fewer steps than making it in larger quantities. It is ideal to have dedicated equipment for making Essiac both for convenience and cleanliness. Our Essiac tea-making kits are perfect for this.  If you are looking to make even larger quantities, there are great kettles the size of Rene Caisse's. which Mary McPherson is holding in the above photo! Cuisinart is a good quality brand, but any stainless steel or enameled kettle with a nice heavy bottom will work great.

We're pleased to be the only company to offer the Essiac Tea-making Kits. We have hand-picked the parts over the years and combined them into three sizes  with everything one needs to make life good all over again one cup of Essiac at a time: The Glad to Be Here Mini Essiac Tea-making Kit , The Essiac Tea-making Kit (2-qt. kettle) and this, the Blue Moon Deluxe Essiac Tea-making Kit (3-qt.kettle, and more) :).  We try to keep the price just a little over cost, since the most important thing to us is not the money but that folks will be more easily be able to enjoy this great tea and make it for others too.

The Deluxe Essiac Tea-Making kit features the following components:

  • 3 quart stainless steel cooking kettle with double slotted lid
  • two narrow mouthed quart amber canning jars
  • a 1 oz. measuring cup (2 tablespoons/1/8 cup/30ml)
  • funnel and strainer
  • One 20g packet each of Essiac Extra, Essiac Extra Gold, and Essiac Extra with Red Clover (all with Sheep sorrel content 65% root),ready to brew.
  • Two Blue Moon teacups!
  • The Complete Essiac Essentials Centennial Edition 1922-2022 ,  Softcover, 2021, Sheila Snow/Mali Klein, 207 p.

The  kettle is deep, with a heavy bottom, perfect for Essiac and many other uses! The measurements are written inside the pot, so you know where to fill it to.

When the tea is ready, you can pour directly from the kettle (using the smaller slots on the lid) into the funnel and strainer in place on the jar/bottle. The two-step straining through first the lid and then the strainer is sufficient to remove just the right amount of sediment while allowing the smallest pieces to pass through as Rene Caisse's did. It is normal to have sediment on the bottom of the jar after straining. The funnel has a detachable narrow stem for use with bottles, or remove it for use with jars. The strainer is lightweight and fits perfectly inside the funnel for easy decanting.

Each 20g packet makes two quarts of Essiac decoction, a 4 - 6 week supply for one person when taken at the maximum recommended serving size of 2 oz. per day.
